Amazon Refreshes Echo Smart Speaker Lineup

Amazon has announced a second-generation Echo speaker that’s much cheaper and around half the size of the original.

The new speaker sports all the same features what we saw in the original Amazon Echo. According to Amazon, the device’s voice recognition technology has also been given a second-generation upgrade. Google offers different coloured shells for the Google Home, so this is a similar approach. Echo Plus will cost $149.

Over the past several years, the world has seen just about every type of smart device you could imagine: smart speakers, smartwatches, appliances and smartphones, just to name a few. It allows you to connect your landlines to Alexa, allowing you to make voice calls over the landline.

This is the also most affordable way as there is no need for separate connection for making calls.

Echo Spot will be available in black and white colors and will start shipping in the US December of this year. The Best For Last: While Amazon won’t be producing it directly, its voice assistant will be featured in future versions of the Big Mouth Billy Bass, the popular wall-mounted talking fish.

The first demo we saw was the Echo Spot used as a smart alarm.

The company made the announcement in Seattle at an event for journalists. The Echo Plus includes smart home hub functionality that lets it communicate and control all the smart home appliances in your house, from your lighting to your thermostat, security cameras, door locks and more. It’s a smart alarm, a device to read messages and make video calls.it’s also lovely looking. Amazon has updated this product as well, by improving the sound and adding a built-in smart home hub.

Details of the new Fire TV leaked two weeks ago. Powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of storage. Likely as a way to compete with the likes of Google and Apple who are both gearing up for the holiday season, Amazon is not holding back either and has just announced a flurry of new products. As of now, all these products are limited to the Western market and don’t expect them to launch in India anytime soon.
