In the last 20 years, Wenger has three Premier League wins, seven FA Cups, and seven Community Shields (plus a finalist thrice in the League Cup).

Following a 2-1 defeat to little old Brighton and Hove Albion (albeit they’re two places; north London is only one), many are calling for Arsene Wenger’s head.

Petr Cech was at fault for both of the Brighton goals and he tweeted an apology.

In the age of financially sensible Chelsea, the money brought in by Europe’s top club competition is imperative and ensures the Blues can continue to compete with the Premier League’s top four. It’s about Arsenal winning games, then we’ll see where we go from there.

Arsenal fans today chanted for Wenger to be sacked after the club failing to sail past a determined Brighton in a match officiated by Stuart Attwell as the centre referee.

At many different points in the year, especially more recently as the team’s form has deteriorated and the desperation for results has intensified, I have stated that the next fixture is the “biggest game of the season”.

The travelling fans, who held up “Wenger out” banners at the final whistle, will want the Arsenal board to wake up and smell it.

But Arsenal were unable to sustain the pressure needed to break Brighton down for a second time.

There are reports that the Frenchman is set have his position reviewed in the summer.

“If you love a place and they ask – I repeat, they ask – for help, you are always going to say yes”, Henry said.

Arsenal woke up for the last two minutes of the half, scoring slightly fortuitously when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang flicked in from close range.

Very rarely, if ever, does a manager resign because he thinks he’s lost the dressing room or can’t improve a hard period for this team.

After a bright start from the visitors, Lewis Dunk volleyed in to give the home side the lead – ensuring Arsenal’s run without a Premier League clean sheet stretched to 11 games – their longest since February 2002.

The way most sports teams work, in any sport and any league, is that the owner of said team has all the power.

Soccer teams are set up a little differently than many United States teams, in that majority, particularly the ones that are publicly listed, have a board of directors who make decisions and shape the direction of the club.

“When you have just the pants on it’s easy to take them pants off as well”, said Wenger at his postmatch news conference.
