LeFlore County voters who want absentee ballots for the March 1 Presidential Primary Election should apply now, according to a news release from the County Election Board.
You’ll be able to cast your ballot in the Texas Primary from Tuesday, Feb. 16 to Friday, Feb. 26.

Applications for absentee ballots are available on the Board of Elections website, ButlerCountyElections.org, and those applications must be received at the board office no later than noon Saturday.
Jocelyn Bucaro, deputy director for the elections office, said she hopes this drop box is another way voters can cast ballots “with confidence that their vote is secure”.
Tarrant County Elections Administrator Frank Phillips said more than 5,500 people have already cast their votes.
Presidential election years always have a bigger turnout and the board of elections expects an even bigger turnout in Washington County because of local races.
Residents will have fewer days to vote early this year compared to 2012.

The Ohio primary election is less than one month away.
Elections for county sheriff are being held in Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Hays, Llano, Travis and Williamson counties. The victor of the primary will run unopposed in the November general election, as no Democrat has filed to run for the job. In addition to presidential candidates, voters are choosing party nominees for Congress and statewide offices and electing candidates in several nonpartisan judicial races.
