J.K. Rowling Slams Donald Trump, Compares Him to Voldemort

Dec 8, 2015

Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., on Tuesday denounced a proposal by GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump to prevent Muslims from entering the United States.

However, the author of the books J.K. Rowling also has some thoughts on the issue.

JK Rowling is not impressed with people comparing Donald Trump to Voldemort, the villain in her Harry Potter series.

Fellow Republicans have also criticized Trump’s comments with Jeb Bush labeling him “unhinged”.

And whatever your political leanings, you have to admit that Trump’s severely anti-Latino and anti-Muslim rhetoric is downright unsafe, and comes just this close of Voldemort’s stance regarding muggles, half-bloods, and everything in between.

Twitter didn’t take that all too well, and has started comparing the businessman to Lord Voldemort. The link pointed to a story about the Republican’s suggestion to bar all Muslims from entering the United States.

“Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension”, Trump said in the statement.

Trump may not be as vicious as Voldemort, but his ideas seem almost as outrageous. He expanded on his beliefs at a SC rally on Monday night, saying he doesn’t care if his statements are “probably not politically correct”.

Donald Trump and Voldemort, or Donald Trump is Voldemort?
