This means that there will be two versions of the smartphone, one running each mobile OS says the tipster who leaked the image. One version will reportedly run Windows 10, while another will run a full version of Android. But on whether that would be tied up as the Nokia C1 is something that remains to be seen. Now, a report by technology website NokiaPowerUser has shed some light on what Nokia’s first smartphone in the second coming – widely expected to be named C1 – may look like.
When Nokia sold off its Lumia line of smartphones to Microsoft, it agreed not to manufacture any mobile phones until Q4 of 2016. Well right now all we have to come by are renders and here are some concepts tied to a possible coming of the Nokia C1.
The images show a smartphone in four colors (grey, white, pink and yellow/orange), with a camera in the corner, while being really minimalistic.
In hindsight, Nokia’s move to refuse towards adapting the Android OS back when it was entering the global markets was what turned out to be against their favor.
“It is tipped that the Nokia C1 will include a 5” FHD display, a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. This is a surprise since Nokia’s N1 tablet, released past year, is an iPad mini-lookalike but runs Android operating system. It’s worth noting though, that all of the previous rumors we’ve heard on the phone suggest it will be running Android.
We all know that Nokia is planning a return to the Android market in 2016, though most signs point to a low or mid-range handset as opposed to a more premium device.
