Google has rolled out a doodle that celebrates Holiday season this year.
Amy Gesenhues is Third Door Media’s General Assignment Reporter, covering the latest news and updates for Search Engine Land and Marketing Land. The word “Google” has been made with characters such as a cat for “G, ‘ owl for ‘O” and so on.
The doodle is inspired by paper crafting, which is an ancient art form believed to date back to 1440. On rolling the mouse over the doodle, ‘Tis the season!’ is the message that we get.
“Tis the Season” is referred to the period between December 23 to January 2, when the majority of the world spends in a relaxed manner, enjoying their vacations, taking a break from their hectic schedule, spending time with their children, family and friends.
The Christmas season is here and Google too is setting the mood with its doodle.
Google also created an automated Dreidel game, with a digital version of the Hanukkah spinning toy posted at the top of results for “Play Dreidel” searches.
As we see in the Doodle today, the elves and Santa are in the final stages of preparation, but, what’s this, a bug in the system? As the year comes to a close, look for more Doodles as Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Year are sure to offer something fun and interesting.
