Barack Obama says most world leaders ‘completely out of their minds’

Jan 1, 2016

Jerry Seinfeld and President Barack Obama got in a auto, got in another vehicle, wandered around the White House, made some coffee, and had the kind of awkward, amusing small talk that you’d imagine on a first-date between two famous people.

Obama told Seinfeld: “I do really well with the zero-to-eight demographic”.

Seinfeld asked Obama if being president is like playing chess.

Congratulations to Jerry Seinfeld for cruising around the White House driveway with President Obama in a 1963 Corvette Stingray.

“I would love to just take a walk”. The President was clever, amusing and put up with the comedian when the spirit of the show and its often rapid-fire exchange of barbs turned stupid.

The two also sat for a few minutes and talked inside the presidential limousine known as “The Beast”, which Obama described as a Cadillac built on a tank frame.

“It’s probably most like football, because (there’s) a lot of players, a lot of specialists, a lot of hitting, a lot of attrition”, the president notes.

“It’s caked white all over and it catches parts of his ears, and there’s big globs of it”, Obama said. He says Roosevelt would take a monthlong trip to Yellowstone National Park without anyone knowing where he was.

Obama has played golf with David a number of times, most recently in August during the president’s annual vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.

But the interview is engaging, and the topics of conversation are mostly humorous-though Mr. Obama does manage to cram a promotional message for Obamacare into the chat.

The president also gets candid when the comedian asks him how many world leaders he thinks are “just, completely out of their mind”.

“A pretty sizable percentage”, Obama said, while explaining that the longer some are in office, they just end up losing it.
