Lady Gaga bowled over by Superbowl performance

But it wasn’t just her killer vocals that were grabbing attention. At “O’er the land of the free”, she absolutely crushes the so-sought-after high note, and to finish the song off, pounds two wholehearted chest beats right before the end of the song at “brave”.

The Denver Broncos are Super Bowl 50 Champions, but all 117 million viewers around the world won a once-in-a-lifetime performance by Lady Gaga.

In an interview with Extra, Gaga explained the thought process behind her emotional rendition of the National Anthem.

Lady Gaga made the first big score during Super Bowl 50 Sunday night, turning in a stunning rendition of America’s National Anthem. She gave a stellar performance of the national anthem backed with just a piano accompaniment and an Air Force jets flyover finale while thumping her chest (similar to a Celine Dion chest pound manner) that left the crowd with goose bumps.

And never one to let her voice do all the talking, Gaga totally killed it in the style department too, matching her eye make-up with her trouser suit!

Lady Gaga turns 30 in March, but before celebrating that milestone, she will perform a medley of David Bowie songs in tribute to the late singer-songwriter during the Grammy Awards broadcast on February 15.

Thespian Alyssa Milano felt shudders as Gaga performed, tweeting: “That was wonderful @ladygaga”.

The performance took place at Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California’s Levi’s Stadium. “I’m so glad I loaned you my jumpsuit”.

The look was created by top celebrity make-up artist Sarah Nicole Tanno, who is one of Gaga’s go-tos for gorgeous, red carpet make-up.

Lady Gaga proved once and for all she has some serious pipes. Arguably the best ever performance was done by Whitney Houston in 1991, and it has to be said that Lady Gaga was getting seriously close to that level this weekend.
